StarFire™ iTC Sunset
Sunset Date: February 1, 2021
StarFire iTC receivers will no longer function beginning Feb. 1, 2021. No correction signals, outside of WAAS, will work with iTC receivers after 01 Feb. 2021. Guidance applications including AutoTrac™ will not be available.
StarFire™ 3000 and 6000 Mandatory Update
Update Deadline: February 1, 2021
The StarFire 20-2 software update is a mandatory update for both 6000 (Version 4.40 P or newer) and 3000 (Version 2.80 S or newer) receivers. The update deadline is Feb. 1, 2021. Receivers not updated to 20-2 by this time will not receive the StarFire signal and as such will only operate in WASS until updated to 20-2 or newer software.
Accept Updated Terms and Conditions
Deadline: March 2021
In early 2020, John Deere released updated Terms and Conditions to better safeguard your information and to establish a clear connection to the company/business associated with your account.
What happens if Terms and Conditions are not accepted?
If the new Terms and Conditions are not accepted prior to the deadline, the following occurs:
- Account is closed and associated data cannot be retrieved
- JDLink and Base Station Manager Service contracts are terminated by John Deere
3G Network Sunset
Sunset Date: December 30, 2021
Service ADVISOR™ Remote, Expert Alerts, and Remote Display Access are just a few tools that rely on the Modular Telematics Gateway (MTG).
AT&T, the carrier that provides the cellular service associated with your MTG will sunset their 3G network on December 30, 2021. When this occurs, your Connected Support™ tools will not function as reliably.
In response to the sunset of the 3G network, John Deere has developed 4G MTG Upgrade Kits. Secure your upgrade before suppliers start experiencing potential shortages, affecting their ability to supply the necessary components.
